Comment: My husband I and went on Vision of the Seas Mexican Riviera for our honeymoon. We were very disappointed in the service and quality of food. The food was very bland. Presentation was decent. It reminded me of cafeteria food. Our room attendent was very pleasant. The food & beverage staff, especially in the casino, was very disappointing. We would never travel on Royal Carribean again. We even thought about departing the ship at our last port and flying home!

Comment: We had a great week on the Triumph- from 6.5-12. They were very nice to us. The entertainment great, food good and service excellent. We, however lost our digital camera as we departed the ship. We asking for help from ANYONE! It's a Nikon Coolpix 950. The camera isn'tt important--but the card inside with all our memories is. If you can pass this on to ANYONE you know, we'd appreciate it! our email is sahlman@mac.com. We'd give a finder's fee to anyone who can help us. thanks!

Cruise: Windjammer Barefoot Cruises

Comment: Ever been on a Barefoot Cruise? They are awesome. Fifty passengers, thirty crew. They are old restored sailing ships. You can help crew if you want. No tuxedos and formal gowns here. The only requirement is a clean t-shirt for dinner. We took the Yankee Clipper from St. George, Grenada, but there are several others. What an excellent adventure.

Cruise: Norwegian Sky
City: Silverton, Oregon
Location:
Comment: We recently returned from a seven day Alaska cruise aboard the Norwegian Sky. It was a very fulfilling experience. Service was excellent and the ship was spotless and joy to sail on. Alaska has to be seen, you can not describe the beauty. Even with low clouds, chilly weather it was still worth the trip. We strongly recommend the Whitehorse Pass train excursion in Skgway, AK. This was our first cruise and we feel we are now pro's..Go Alaska!!

Cruise: Carnival
City: Richmond, VA
Location: New York, NY
Comment: Our family traveled a 4 night cruise on Carnival (Triumph) from New York to Halifax and back on 8/29/02. The crew were very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. This was our first cruise and the children had a great time. It took them two days to explore the entire ship and they saw just about everything. The food was great and the waiters were very gracious. Where there was a language barrier, the member of the crew stayed and worked hard to understand us and we both had a learning experience understanding each other. The room stewards did an excellent job cleaning and keeping our room ship-shape. We will definitely cruise again and most likely on Carnival. If you can't have fun on a Carnival Cruise, it is your own fault.

Cruise: Carnival Legend
City: Baltimore, MD
Location: Baltimore to Bermuda
Comment: The ship was beautiful, the activities were plentiful. This was a November cruise to Bermuda from Baltimore. The ride each way was very rough, half of my shipmates (not including me) were sea-sick all the way there and back. <p> We arrived in Bermuda to a very windy island. IT WAS DOWNRIGHT COLD. The location where the ship docks requires that you take a ferry over to Downtown for shopping, and it takes about 30 minutes. So, Bermuda wasn't so bad, but I don't recommend a November cruise from Baltimore.

Cruise: Royal Caribbean
City: Florida
Location:
Comment: I travel on Royal Caribbean cruise line from New York to Bremuda and was very disappointed with the condition of the ship. There was a circulation problem in our cabin and we were told there were no cabins we could move to. The staff then removed the covering from the ductwork in our ceiling in an effort to bring the temperature in the cabin down to a livable level, this only reduced the temperature by a few degrees and left us with all exposed metal in our cabin. Some of the other problems on the ship included work being done by people wearing protective clothing in areas where we were traveling with no protection, and areas of the ship were blocked off with police tape due to the fact that they were not safe for use. When I contacted Royal Caribbean about the problems all I was offered was a voucher for 35% off future travel which I am now told must have been used during the first 6 months to 1 year. I have pictures to back up all of these claims. I would not reccomend Royal Caribbean to anyone.

I know there were others on this cruise which had the same problem. I am looking for these passengers. Please not only contact your credit card company, but contact Carnival Cruise Lines. An investigation is underway and we need more information. Thank you.

Cruise: Royal Caribbean
City:

Comment: We just completed a cruise on the Royal Caribbean Explorer. The ship was outstanding. The food and the entertainment were fair. The ports (Haiti, Caymans, Jamaica, and Cozumel) were dissapointing. Royal Caribbean continually pressured us to buy things such as photos, drinks, cheap watches, gamble, videos, etc. The same happened at every port. Diving - Royal Caribbean sold us a dive excursion in Cozumel that almost ended in disaster. The Mexican Dive Master did not adhere to the planned dive profile and kept us beyond the limits of a 90' no-decompression drift dive in a heavy current. The divers were mostly begginers, and were brought back to the surface on empty tanks. The Dive Master was seperated from the party through most of the dive by about 50' and couldn't have helped a diver in distress if needed. Fortunately no one was injured, but when the incident was reported to Royal Caribbean, they declared it an isolated incident and dismissed it without investigation. I wanted to post this as a warning to others if you are planning a trip with Royal Caribbean to the Western Caribean.

Cruise: CARNIVAL CRUISE
City:
Location: MIAMI
Comment: Carnival was the worsed cruise line I ever sailed. I had been forwored about this line but went anyway. We sailed on the Fascination on the 4 day cruise (3/21-3/26) to Key West and Couzmel Mexico, the ports were great but more time there would have been better because the time on the ship left much to be disired. I had never been on a ship where you are forced to carry around a beach towel the whole cruise or pay a $22.00 fee for leaving it unattened. The food was just ok although our waiter louie was great. You could tell that the staff was under paid and very unhappy(not friendly at all). we are planning a 7 day family cruise for next June with a total of 14 people and there is no way we will sail carnival. We had a good time thanks to ourselfs with no help from the crew or ship.

Comment: Our first cruise to the Mexican Riviera was an experience in crowded gaiety. However, for the last couple of days, we had no water in our cabin and our toilet refused to flush! I complained several times only to be told they were 'working on it'. Finally a workman came and turned a valve in a cabinet in the hall, and it worked again. ?? I had the feeling they didn't give a damn, that they had our money & the cruise was nearly over.

Cruise: Radisson Voyager
City:
Location:
Comment: On a recent 33 day cruise on the Voyager, we were placed in a badly smoke infused room . The cruise was booked and we were told no other accomodation was available. We suffered through a miserable cruise due to the stateroom condition. For this we paid $25,000. Radisson has finally responded to our complaint, after 2 months, and told us they have no culpability. Will never sail with Radisson again.

Cruise: Celebrity
City: NY
Location: Miami Fla
Comment: Just completed my first cruise and all I can say is Excellant. I went on a 7 day cruise to Bermuda aboard the Zenith, a Celebrity Line Cruise Ship. I can't find anything bad to say except for the passenger elevators aboard the ship. They were very very slow. We embarked from Port Liberty NJ and this procedure was quicker than I thought it was going to be. We were greeted with Champage cocktails which set the mood for the trip. I loved going under the Verrizano Bridge. What an experience that is. The sea and weather were both very clam doing the entire trip. Now as far as the food goes all I can say is Unbelievable. Great food in all dining areas. I enjoyed the afternoon Hamburger snacks. Also the pasta and pizza bar. The main dining room was beauitful and our waiter(s) were the best especially Adreai. The enteratinmebt aboard ship was very good. The dancing group was so energetic and thier productions were right on. The Cruise Director Kevin was a perfect choice for such a job. He was very personable and he seemd like he got to know everyone. The music groups on the ship were great especially Los Amigos and the Husband and Wife team (forgot their name) in one of the Lounges. Like I said the elevators could have been more efficient. The rooms were very nice nad clean with good service by the steward. This was my first trip to Bermuda. What a beautiful place. We docked in 2 ports, Hamilton and St. George. I like St. George better as it was more peaceful than the city bustle at Hamilton. Nice beaches throughout. I drove a motor scooter for the first time. I even stayed on the left side of the road. I want to go back again. My experience was wonderful and much had to do with the services rendered by the Celebrity Cruise Line. I hope you can forward my comments to them. I can't wait to book another cruise and I will stay with Celebrity and recommend the Cruise line to all.

Cruise: Royal Caribbean International
City: Olympia, WA
Location: Miami, Florida
Comment: The ship was the Rhapsody of the Seas, which departed from Galveston, Texas on December 18, 2005. My cabin had a verandah. As we left the dock, I smelled an odor of raw sewage on my verandah. A crew member told me it was the water. I contacted the purser’s desk the next day when the smell on the verandah didn’t go away. During the cruise, it was strong at times, and less noticeable at others. Everyone who complained was told it was the water. This discouraged them from further complaining. Oddly, that same smelly water did not smell when I was on the pier, in the tender or on the port side of the ship. I was even more disturbed by the lack of customer service I received from the third purser’s staff on this ship. They belittled my complaint, put little effort into getting back to me, were deceptive when talking to me, seemed to have no authority to make decisions, but were expert at providing excuses. I asked Royal Caribbean International to refund the price difference between a verandah stateroom and a view stateroom. Instead, the company told me they were giving me $300 off a future cruise. It turned out to be vouchers for $100 off for each adult and $50 for each youth. I felt this did not adequately address the issue on the current cruise. I wrote to the president of the company. Someone called me and said they could increase the amount. I told them I wasn’t interested unless they were refunding cash. They don't do that, so Royal Caribbean has lost my business forever.

Comment: We recently went on a Carnival Cruise Spirit from San Diego to Mexican Riviera. The service was excellent but every thing is geared to people 35 and younger. Many of these people were very loud, rude and disobeyed the ships rules frequently.I would not recommend this cruise to anyone over 50.

Comment: We recently cruised on the Norwegian Crown. I've been on many cruises but this was the first with NCL. We thought we would like free style cruising. However, we were very disappointed with the food and with the service in the dining room. Our suite was very nice and spacious. The entertainment was quite good.

Cruise: Carnival
City: Fort Lauderdale, Fl
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Comment: For individuals who have a need for wheelchair or scooter, you will find that Carnival cruise line is not for you. You will find that you will have to walk most places because lounges and chairs block most passage ways. You will find this limitation on all decks including the Dining rooms. We did our research prior to our recent cruise on Carnival in regards to assessability, only to find that we were not told the truth up front.
