Comment: physical appearence of the property was commendable. guest services staff was friendly and attentive. housekeeping was marginal (new bars of soap and shampoo/lotion not automatically left). restaurant served unusual fare as breakfast buffet (sweet & sour chicken, mixed vegetables), and small 5-6 item selecton seemed empensive ($11). otherwise, the hotel was adequate.

Comment: I went to Bora Bora with Islands in the Sun on my Honeymoon. It was by far the best vacation I have ever been on in my life. When I arrived off the plane, I had tears in my eyes because the view was so beautiful. The waters were so many different colors, I know my husband and I truly found paradise. We stayed at the Sofitel Marara Bora Bora hotel in an overwater bungalow. The bungalow was huge with a large deck and steps leading to the water where we snorkled underneath our bungalow. The fish had many tropical colors. The food was great, the hotel staff were so very friendly and we had the privacy and paradise that we dreamed of. Hotel: The Delta Chelsea Hotel
City: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Location: 33 Gerrard St.
Comment: My stay at the Delta Chelsea Hotel was by far the worst hotel experience of my life. I arrived at the hotel with my confirmed reservation at the appropriate check-in time of 3pm. They’re motto of “ You’re Room is Ready “ is very inaccurate. I learned after waiting in line for over 45 minutes that my room wouldn’t be ready till after 7pm. They didn’t seem sympathetic to my obvious frustration seeing as how I had tickets to a play that night. I demanded to talk to a manager. After waiting again, a manager appeared and didn’t care about my plight. He offered no alternatives and, didn’t even offer to reduce my room rate, which was quite high considering the hotel was nowhere as nice as it appeared in the brochures. My experience at the Delta Chelsea Hotel was disgusting. The rooms are over priced and dirty, the food was rancid and the service was abysmal. It took over an hour for my luggage to arrive, and the bellman made no apology and had the nerve to wait around for a tip?? Our air conditioner was broken, it took 12 tires to get thru to the hotel operator, who then cut us off. After calling again, we were assured maintenance would be there right away, they finally showed up after repeated calls on our part and considerable time. We asked to the front desk to switch rooms and they were abrupt and said, “ we’re busy, and we don’t have time right now to help you.” While I was there, a fire alarm went off, a bellman in the lobby told me that it’s a common event. Kids like to pull the alarm in the middle of the night, and it happens all the time. On top of all this … we were charged over $26 per day for parking. If you can believe it, I’ve left out some stuff. Whether you plan on going there on business or for fun, I strongly suggest you don’t stay at the Delta Chelsea Hotel, in Toronto, Ontario. I though maybe it was just me.. But after talking to other disgruntled guests, I know now. The Delta Chelsea is by far the worst hotel.

Comment: Exellent Place, they have everything, swim up bar, massage, shopping, great weather. The beach is beautiful, there are included activities, it´s all inclusive and the service was pretty good. Watch out for the flea market sales people they will try to charge you double, but you can haggle. The night life kinda sucks but if you just want to relax and not worry about a thing this is the place to be. If you want to party, take a taxi to the Flamingo. It´s about ten minutes, they play all kinds of music and the taxi is cheap. Take your sweetie and you will have a great time too. I will be submitting pictures as soon as they are developed. I´m giving the Punta Cana Iberostar Bavaro **** stars!

So when we got there and set are tent and everything up and got all the things we need we see these guys 15ft away from are tent at night camped out with a grill and and umbrella and fold out chairs and all kinds of stuff. Well there names were Paul and Joe i told my buddies we need some people to talk to and make some friends why'll we were there so i went over there and asked the guyz what guns they were using and stuff like that and then we made 2 really cool friends we ended up cooking chicken out on the grill at 2am something why'll everyone else was a sleep and we were on the same team and made are own squad to go on missions which was really fun at night because me Joe Paul and Jake and to look for a satelite and we had shots fired at us but we didnt know who was shooting at us until the guyz air ran out. But when we were in the town people on the other team would try to escape from the spotlight that Paul had on them when they were running up the hill have 12 men shoot at them. Playing with Paul and Joe made my first scenario really fun and excited haveing such cool people play with us on the same team, hope to see you guys soon either playing at skyline or the next scenario if you get this letter because Joe ur the one who gave out the business cards for this site at the game my email address is TwishmeKnot@hotmail.com and jakes is Jakeass1001@aol.com

The rooms are furnished with a spa and fireplace, reefer and boom box. The walk out deck has tables, chairs and umbrellas, facing the water. Breakfast every morning in the comfortable common room includes fabulous coffee, fresh juice, freshly-made muffins and breads, freshly cut fruits and so on. Every afternoon, a giant bowl of freshly popped popcorn! Bikes, a tandem, kayaks and beach towels available, all complimentary. There is no beach in front of the inn but it is only steps away. Bryan and Joan have a hidden gem, here. And it only takes minutes before you feel like family. Just a warm, comfortable, wonderful experience. Worth every penny.

Comment: I would like to warn all tourists going to St. Petersburg to not use "Nevsky Rental & Leasing" for the purpose of renting an apartment in St. Petersburg Russia. The company is a classic bait and switch con game where they show you a great apartment via their web page then at the last minute something comes up and they ahve "another" apartment for you. This happened to myself and my friend on Oct 11th, 2002. This company is a simple front for a bunch of crooks and thieves. I recommend Pulford.com if renting in St. Petersburg as they will not rip you off and they have many people (not just one) who speak very good English. P. Shaw

Hotel: Holyrood Aparthotel
City: Edinburgh, Scotland
Location: 1 Nether Bakehouse, Holyrood, Edinburgh, Scotland
Comment: I traveled with my elderly mother through out Scotland this past summer and stayed at one of the nicest places in ALL my travels. This aparthotel consisted not of hotel rooms but apartments. We had a two bedroom, 2 bath, apartment with a separate living room, dining area and kitchen. The kitchen was stocked with all the modern conveniences, i.e., stove/over, microwave, refrigerator and, to top it off, a combination washing machine/dryer! That was a real plus since we had a lot of laudry to do by the time we got there. The Holyrood Aparthotel was "extremely" clean and modern and very quiet. Our bathrooms were every woman's dream come true when traveling. They were all marble and ceramic tile, tons of space to move around and set things upon. They also had a small gym with a treadmill and free weights. The Holyrood provides breakfast of milk, cereal, juice, shortbread and various jams. We were also a very short alley (or close) away from the Royal Mile and bus transportation. This web site only allows the consumer to rate up to 4 starts however, the Holyrood really deserves 10! For the extra price they are well worth staying at. It was like coming home!

Hotel: Double Tree

Location: 300 Canal Street New Orleans, LA. 70130-1010
Comment: Booked room through Expedia.com 4 weeks in advance. Also told them at that time traveling with a set of infant twins and would needs cribs for them. When I arrived, we had late check in due to flight, at 11:15 pm. They radioed for cribs. We did not get cribs until almost 1:00 am. Plus we had requested a queen room, gave us a double due to occupancy problems. Next morning, ordered room service. They did not deliver half of the meal. When I called to complain they basically said I was a lier and didn't order that food, then said to not eat any more until the manager got there. The manager never came. Later found out the manager did not know anything about this. Almost 2 hours later before we got it figured out. They did take away the cold breakfast but never brought back a warm breakfast. Around noon the did bring us lunch. The Hotel supervisor, was of no use, we requested a manager the supervisor didn't tell the manager we wanted to see him. It wasn't until my husband went down and made a scene at the front desk before we got any attention. The manager gave us to the Director of Rooms, who was appaled at the service we recieved. By that time, we were so pissed off that it was unreconcilable. Most of the response we got from them was "you book this through expedia". THat doesn't give them the right to treat us like second class citizens. We left that hotel and went to the Le Pavillon were they treated us right.

Comment: Beware, I reserved a pick up from the airport that never showed up. My video camera and case was stolen from the trunk of my car after I have left it with the Valet. The hotel sent a letter saying they are not responsible. Not even the courtesy of a manager saying they were sorry it happened on their 5 star property. My laundry came back piece by piece over 4 days, when I requested express next day service. And if you are a non- white guest, be prepared to be treated like a second class citizen.

Comment: On first morning I noticed water under the tub. You could hear it slosh when you moved in the shower. I called the front desk and they assured me that it would be taken care of or I would be moved to another room. They did not move me but that night the tub seemed fine. The next morning the water was under the tub again so I called again and was told it would be fixed. When I returned that evening I found a note from maintenance saying it was fixed but water was still under the tub when I left. The Hampton Inn & Suites next to it will be my choice if I go back there. The Holiday Inn will be rotted by then from the water under the tubs.

Comment: Beware!! We paid for our Hotel.com reservation for one night at this downtown hotel during this past Christmas week. When my wife and I arrived, we were told that they had overbooked and since we had a discounted reservation they had given our room to a full paying guest. They moved us to a Radisson Hotel outside of downtown and promised to credit our original reservation and pay the Radisson room for the inconvience. Comment: You would be better off to stay in a roadside hotel than to ever stay in this so call 3 star all inclusive. If you don't mind plumbing and plumbing fixtures that are at least 25 years out of date thant this is the place for you. They take great care in yard work and ground maintenance but I would venture to guess they would even on occassion hire a plumber. Building 5 is to be avoided for sure as they were without hot water for 6 days and you were lucky to get a room in another bldg. Bldg 5 always is having difficult with hot water.

Hotel: Yourstay Dot Com
City: London, England
Location: www.yourstay.com
Comment: During November of 2002 I reserved lodging in London offered by yourstay dot com. This was for a March rental. http://www.yourstay.com/LONWSCH3.html There were four reasons we selected the London lodging offered by the Yourstay web site; the location, three bedrooms, available parking, and swimming pool/hot tub. As it turned out, there was no parking available at or near our lodging, those renting (as opposed to leasing) apartments were not allowed access to the pool, and the unit had only two bedrooms. However, the London location was quite good. Since I was unable to find any nearby parking I had to cancel our car rental and take a days charge as a penalty. When I contacted Yourstay about these discrepancies I did receive a response and an apology. And I was offered a discount on any future lodging I might choose to book through their site. Although I appreciate their reply, I also believe that their web site could have been much more accurate. And should you select accommodations through this site I would suggest that you carefully verify those lodging features which you consider to be a necessity. BTW: We looked for a pool/hot tub specifically for an individual in our group who suffers from arthritis. Otherwise this feature would have been unimportant as one does not generally vacation in London in order to do some swimming.

Hotel: yourstay.com
City: London, England
Location: no known address. website is yourstay.com for apartment rentals in London.
Comment: I traveled to London in March for 3 weeks with my sister and her 3 kids (we live in California). We booked and paid a deposit for a 3 bedroom apartment through yourstay.com several months in advance. I emailed them 2 days before departure to confirm all was in order and was told it was. When we arrived at the designated hotel to pick up our keys a rep from youstay calls us to let us know we need to go to a different hotel and that we actually have a 2 bedroom apartment, would need to pay $500/week more for the 3 bedroom we already had confirmed! It was outrageous. Their excuses kept changing and ranged from “a water main broke in the 3 bedroom” to “we sent you an email a couple of weeks ago letting you know you had a 2 bedroom and not a 3”. The kids were exhausted so we went to the 2 bedroom apartment while we figured out what to do. We stayed there for no more than 2 hours and found a great 3 bedroom apartment in Mayfair. I called yourstay to let them know we were leaving and demanded a full refund on our deposit. I did not know at the time that the full amount US$3500 had been charged to my card 28 days in advance. Raz (owner?) was extremely rude and hostile and said there was no way we would get a refund because they could have rented the apartment in the 2 hours we were there. And that the entire amount had been charged to my card. I asked for his office location and he refused. We tried repeatedly and got nowhere. My sister in law was traveling with her family at the same time. Her apartment was 2 days late (they put them up in a hotel). When it was finally ready it was filthy (they have video). They refused to stay and also lost their US$1500.

Comment: We have just had a nightmare with yourstay.com. We booked to stay there on 29/30 July 2003. When we arrived the manager of the apartment block, 9 Albert Embankment refused to let us in saying that we had no right to stay there as it was a long term letting block only. We phoned Chris, Jane and Mike at Yourstay all of whom said that first, Santiago, some guy with a ponytail and then Raz would turn up to let us in. After waiting three hours, and numerous phonecalls at our expence on our mobiles, we decided to leave as our two young children were hungry and incredibly bored and we had already missed our London Eye trip that we had booked and payed for. The porter at the apartment block said that they had many complaints from Yourstay and that Raz would never turn up. We have had no apology and I have asked for a refund but doubt that I will get one. DO NOT BOOK WITH YOURSTAY.COM!!!

Location:
Comment: One of the highlight attractions of the Vegas strip has lost its appeal. If you’ve visited Treasure Island to take in the wonderful show, don’t bother stopping. It has been replaced by gaudy Vegas showgirl review reminiscent of a bad strip club. Instead of drawing crowds in with the romantic atmosphere of the Pirate era, some marketing intern at MGM tried his had at show design and ruined one of the icons of Vegas. But don’t take my word for it. Stop by next time you’re in town and listen to the groans and watch the people leave before the bawdy performance has ended. Take special note that people don’t go into the casino after the show. At least they’ve managed to improve the sidewalk traffic in front of Treasure Island, now known as TI. Their attempt to create a more upscale image, and appeal to a younger audience has flopped. Don’t they know that audiences are more sophisticated? That sex doesn’t always sell. Sometimes it cheapens as in this case. Remember when some marketing rocket scientist changed the recipe for Coca-Cola? Well guess what. He got fired, and he’s now working for MGM’s Treasure Island. So be warned that the seedy part of the strip just got a little closer. Because that boundary is now between the Mirage and Treasure Island.

Comment: The Westin New York Time Square surpasses expectations, even when compared to other Westin hotels. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, rooms are elequently appointed and are even a good size - very rare in New York, especially Midtown and really especially around Time Square. All rooms include Westin's famed "Heavenly Bed" and they are just that - Heavenly! This type of experience doesn't come cheap, but if you want true modern luxury and absolute comfort, the Westin New York Time Square is a great choice. I travel extensively for business and have spent a lot of time in Hilton and Starwood brand hotels, including Hilton, DoubleTree, Westin, W Hotels, Sheraton, Four Points by Sheraton... you name it I've stayed there. And believe me, I'm picky when it comes to hotels. My ranking of 3 stars is probably equal to most people's 4 stars.

Comment: Situated across from each other, the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers and the Sheraton Manhattan offer all the comforts of modern hotel and will help you save a few dollars compared to a lot of hotels around Time Square. Close to major attractions (Rockafeller, Time Square, Broadway, Central Park), the Sheratons provide easy access to Midtown and subways at a reasonable price. As with other Starwood hotels, the beds are fabulous - the "Sheraton Sweep Sleeper" is not quite the "Heavenly Bed" at fellow Starwood hotels W and Westin, but it's close enough - there's enough pillow-top and feathers to keep you coming back for more. Rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable and as always with Starwood (especially in NYC) the staff is great.

Comment: Usually a stay at a Radisson is a comfortable experience; however, this time my stay was a nightmare. In my first room, the patio door was open when I entered the room. When I tried to close it, I discovered the lock was broken. This caught my attention, so I looked around the room and noticed the heater cover was falling off the heater, the carpet was torn and a rather large roach was in the closet. I called the front desk and explained that the Patio door latch was broken and they sent Maintenance to help. Peter the maintenance man explained that most of the door latches were broken in the hotel and he showed me how to install a security bar. I asked if this was all the security the hotel could offer a woman traveler and he said yes. He then stepped back and took a look at the room and immediately called the front desk and requested that I receive a different room. Peter did his job well. In my second room, the Patio door locked, the heater was new, the carpet wasn't torn and the room appeared to be significantly cleaner than my first. When I went to inspect the bathroom, there was no toilet paper, the guest before me remains were in the toilet, the shower curtain was hanging off of two or three rings and had significant mold on the inside. Later that night when I went to bed (wondering how clean the sheets really were) I noticed that the fitted sheet wasn't the correct size for the bed. In the morning, all four corners had come undone exposing the mattress. Several of the participants for a seminar that stayed at the hotel approached the front desk one evening asking when the shuttle left for Cherry Creek Mall. We were told that was a misprint on your Web site, AAA, etc. and that we could "see" if the shuttle driver would take us. When we asked if they could guarantee our return to the hotel. Again, we were told that we could call and "see" if the driver would come and get us. This conversation wasn't reassuring and so we all decided not to go. I don't think I need to tell you that I won't be staying at a Radisson again. I have told and will continue to tell my friends and coworkers about the experience. I couldn't wait to check out on my departure day and get to the airport. If it was for booking my room via Expedia, I would have transferred to another hotel in a heartbeat.

Comment: This is a 4-bedroom B&B. The rooms are comfortable and spotless. A delcious breakfast is included. Just a sample of one mornings breakfast was: coffee, OJ, huckleberry muffin, fresh chopped fruit, fritta, french toast made with homemade bread, a variety of homemade syrups (huckleberry, cherry, maple, and rhubarb) and bacon. You may order a lunch to take with you on a hike or whatever your plans may be. Of course, the sandwich is on homemade bread, also included is a pickle, pepper, trail mix, hard boiled egg and a homemade brownie. The owners, Nancy and Scott, are very helpful with ideas of where to go and what to do. Including a hike on their property to a river. Evenings may include a campfire and smores. I highly recommend staying at Smoky Bear Lodge.

Comment: Beware of this "hotel" geared to divers pursuing the Manta Rays...the owner Bill Acker will readily take your payment in full for gift shop merchandise, and then never send you the promised items. We visited in March, 2004; our "garden view" room was a parking lot with a vine growing on the side of the building; my companion could not remove her flip-flops for 5 days in the shower or room for fear of coming in contact with the bacteria covering the walls and floors. There is no beach or deck area on which to sit when you aren't in your room; there are two lounge chairs for the entire hotel--the chairs are located in what is the restaurant serving area. Visitors to the island of Yap...do not be misguided by the MantaRayBay web site...this place is a dump.

Comment: RE: WWW.YOURSTAY.COM or is it .con ! We booked "quality" and "well located" accommodation over the internet for a trip to London in July 2004. We did not get the location, quality or address that we booked and confirmed. They debited our credit card before arriving at the accommodation, were very unco-opoerative when we complained upon arriving at the "different address" (which just so happenned to be in a 'dodgy' laneway miles from what we booked) and have not had the courtesy of returning several emails since we complained. We were forced to move out of the uncleaned and disgusting accommodation they delievered and go to a quality Holiday Inn across the road at a slightly cheaper rate. A complete series of gross misrepresentations by what now appears to be a company that specialises in lies, lies and more lies !!!! TRAVELLERS BEWARE - DO NOT USE WWW.YOURSTAY.COM.

Comment: This is as close as you will get to owning a home and beautiful garden in Forio without actually buying one yourself. 'Il Mandarino' is spacious, airy, clean and relaxing. 'Il Limonetto' is smaller but no less inviting. The garden setting is private and secure (great if you have children) - and lush with mature lemon & mandarin trees and palms. This is not a 'complex' or a commercial development; it is Mimmo's (large) garden, in which he maintains a small number of individual holiday residences. Mimmo's house of course shares access to the garden but you are entirely free to come and go as you please - you have your own key to the gate - and to be honest the garden feels like it's your own. From the very start you are made to feel like a welcome guest - it's the ideal combination of well run, high-quality accommodation with unobtrusive friendly help on offer should you need it. Forio itself is an unspoilt, medium sized port town with tasteful non-touristy shops and broad, pleasant streets which throng with people and activity every evening. Mimmo's house is up a hill just off the centre, very close (2 mins) to the main streets and ferry port. Despite this close proximity to the port he very kindly collected us from the Hydrofoil when we arrived for our holiday, and dropped us off there when we departed – a welcome and much appreciated service when you are tired and carrying heavy luggage. There is a good range of quality shops and restaurants in Forio, plus some nice bars arranged along the streets and overlooking the harbour. There are good shops for groceries etc, and 3 ATM machines within moments of each other. There are also frequent bus services to other parts of this lovely island, if you want to explore, at a fixed go-anywhere fare of EUR 1.20 . Forio has one main stretch of beach, with really clean sand, which shelves very gently out to sea (again, great for kids). Even 150 metres out the water is less than a metre deep - our 4-year old daughter could easily stand up. The sea is calm, warm and clean. Close to the beach is a fantastic little shack selling cold beers, ice-creams, water etc, and nearby are a couple of brilliant beach-front restaurants (the nearest is the best one - try the Gnocci !). A 5-minute bus ride will take you to more beaches, just as clean. All the beaches are busy, but predominantly with Italians in family groups so there is a really nice atmosphere. In fact this really does feel like a place where Italians go on holiday, but that's not to say you will struggle if you do not speak Italian, because you won't. The locals are friendly, some English and German is spoken (more so German than English I believe) and they will cheerfully help you with whatever you need. However, if you like 'Full English Breakfasts' to be on offer everywhere you look, then you might not enjoy Forio. Shortly after you arrive Mimmo will spend time with you explaining local sights and good places to eat - his recommendations proved excellent and we would endorse them all (especially 'La Strambata' pizzeria). Forio itself, our garden, and the beaches, were too nice to leave ! If you want something different, and rather special, we really recommend this place. Also, it's worth noting that Mimmo himself responded quickly and helpfully to all emails we sent him whilst arranging our stay in Forio - all in all we found him accommodating, friendly and helpful from start to finish – a true credit to this style of holiday rental. City: New York
Location: Central Park Apartments, 240W 73rd Street, New York, USA
Comment: We booked a 3 bedroom apartment in NY for 8 persons (3 couples and 2 teenage girls) Here is a list of our comments on the apartment: We booked a 3 bedroom apartment - we got 2 oversized doubles and a minute twin - not adequate for 3 couples !! Only 1 small bathroom between 8 persons The living room with a double sofa bed didn't even have a door, so was not practical for a couple - no privacy !! The living room was totally impractical for 8 persons with seating (sofabed) for only 3 persons No washer/dryer in the apartment - their website does not state that you have to use the facilities in the basement - drying towels was a challenge !! The dining table only had seating for 4 and was located in the corner of a tiny kitchen making it's use impossible !! We took the chairs for additional seating in the living room !! The central heating system was extremely noisy - it sounded like someone was bashing the pipes with a hammer every 30 minutes - made sleeping very difficult !! Insufficient towels for 8 persons - we had to beg for more !! Only 1 facecloth, 1 hand towel and 9 clothes hangers for 8 persons - we had to beg for more Only 2 glass tumblers for 8 persons and one of them was cracked !! (First word removed)- stained sheets on the sofa bed and no comforter or pillow cases - blankets provided smelt dirty too !! Too late (at 11pm) to get resolved on first night - had to sleep on towels !! When we spoke to reception that evening, the condescending attitude of the porter was the icing on the cake - he told us it wasn't his problem - talk to YourStay !! Tried to at 11pm ...no answer !! Pictures on their website are misrepresentative of the accomodation. "Lounge" is in fact the reception area of the apartments !! The final straw was when we asked for somewhere safe to store our luggage on our departure day (flight at 10pm), we were made to feel stupid, and were ridiculed by the porter who openly laughed in our faces for being concerned about the option available to us - the cleaners cupboard which was left wide open when we put our luggage in there as the cleaners were using it - we were offered a late checkout on our room of 3pm but that would have meant our last day in NY would be centred around the apartment as we would still have to move our luggage at 3pm to the cleaners cupboard. We decided to risk the cleaners cupboard at 10am (we locked it ourselves) and enjoyed our last day in NY despite the rudeness of the reception porter. We all feel that we have been cut a raw deal by YourStay and the apartment did not meet up to our expectations. We all even considered booking into a hotel on our first night !! Our recommendation - don't stay there !! Regards Simon Meredith

Hotel: DREAMS RESORT & SPA
City: PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO
Location: PUERTO VALLARTA MEXICO PROPERTY
Comment: We stayed at the Dreams-Puerto Vallarta property Aug. 9-14, 2005. Although the resort property itself is nice and from what we saw well maintained. Our room was spacious and clean. (if you tip the maid daily, your room is given EXTRA attention and they go out of their way to please you) The staff for the most part is courteous and helpful, however the following areas needs much improvement. 1)Their scheduled nightly activities are always canceled due to a very light rain sprinkle, which seemed to occur every single night. It only lasted 3-5 minutes, but the entertainment packed up and did not move it to the ballroom as always stated in case of rain. After the second event was cut short, we realized this was just a tactic to end their work day early. They even advertised entertainment that never occurred. 2) The world cafe (primary eating venue) is nice and the waite staff was very attentive-especially if you tipped, however, they need to practice better sanitation-bees-flys tasted uncovered food continusouly. Also we noticed that the first two days of our stay, the World Cafe offered much variety-after that the selection was very skimpy. (very limited variety) Also note, that the Cafe will close for dinner whenever they decide. We were of the impression from all advertisement that they would always be open---not true. They closed one night without advance notice, leaving one restaurant open if you wanted to dine after 6:00 PM. At the Patio (Mexican restaurant) we encountered a particular hostess by a young woman needs additional training. She tried her best to encourage us to order room service rather than dine in the restaurant. Her reason was that it was full-but we could look around and see many empty tables. Being the persistent person that I am, I left and returned and was then seated by someone else and enjoyed dinner. I asked other staff what time did they close and was told at 11:00 PM. (it was approximately 9:30 PM when I tried to dine there initially) I then found this Erika to ask why she told me they were closing, and she said there were 12 reservations ahead of me, again I did not see but 1-2 at the most couples in line. In my opinion this was another ploy to end the work day early. 3) As you know when you are checking out, you are focused on leaving and may be in a bit of a hurry. The person who checked me out said I had one charge on my bill, which I agreed to. It was for one spa visit and the charge was 700 Pesos, at that time $70.00, however, I paid him in cash and he charged me $73.00 US dollars. I felt that he overcharged me $3.00, but I didn’t question. I thought that was underhanded, but what the heck-I don’t plan on staying at the Puerto Vallarta Dreams Resort ever again. 4) The Concierge who worked during the time we stayed there was not the friendless person. He appeared to dislike his job---(maybe it is time for a change, training refresher, or better yet to RETIRE) There were 4 in our party, and we all agreed if we had to rate our overall experience—it would rate out a C-. I believe their are better resorts in the Puerto Vallarta area and should I ever return, I will try a different one. In closing, keep my comments in mind and carefully evaluate what’s important for you to have an enjoyable vacation experience and go from there.

There was a desk and chair that you had to move the chair to get into bed. The hotel is actually a residence with a few rentals for dummies like me to rent through priceline.com. The only good thing was the redone bathroom but it was tiny too. Although the employees were ver nice they didn't have much to work with. I don't suggest this room for more than one person.

Comment: Yhe Cancun Palace is the 2nd resort we visited in the chain. The guest staff was not concerned with your luggage. Immediately upon arrival in room were told we had to move across the entire hotel to a new room. Experienced an ant problem, and desk accused us of having food in the room. The only food were two pieces of candy they left. Finally by the 3rd afternoon we were switched to a new room, which was nicer, but still not what was advertised on their web site. The jacuzee was also dirty. They send you to the Moon Palace and try to sell you a time share, which is called a premier vacation package, and do a real hard sell. The Palace is the first in the chain and is aspring break hangout. Restauants are good, but menu never varies. Maid service is fine. We took part in a contest with the winner being told they would receive a stay worth $2500 in the new Cozelmel palace, but upon winning it,we received a t-shirt from a bar down town.

Hats off to all of them. The room was spacious and it was very clean. You could've eaten off the floor. This hotel has the best view of the falls. The other hotels cannot compare. Comment: I could rave for days about how wonderful the Embassy Suites is! Our trip in March went great. Everything ran smoothly, and we owe to to the hotel and their staff. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a few odd requests, and all of our requests were honored. The staff didn't question anything we had asked for. We had a large group, so lots of requests!! The rooms were all together and in a quiet hallway. The suites were gorgeous. They were very clean. The housekeepers do a marvelous job there. The location is perfect. It must be the closest hotel to Niagara Falls. Our view form the room was incredible. This hotel has it all.

Comment: Our family had such an unbelievably great time at the Embassy Suites. Their staff is incredible. They were very friendly, and so helpful. The rate was very reasonable, and of course it includes a full hot breakfast buffet for everyone. The hotel has 2 restaurants inside, and we loved that. The Keg is awesome! The food and service were great. On to the room...what a view!! I can't even describe it, other than breathtaking. We just stared out the window taking it all in. It's the closest hotel to Niagara Falls. You can walk to anything from there. The room were clean and fresh. Everything was terrific!!!

Comment: After reviewing several coments on this hotel, and hearing great things about it, my husband and I chose to take our family there for a vacation. We all loved it. The first impression was great. We were greeted by a nice, happy young man who assisted us with luggage, and then we checked in. The staff was friendly and the lobby was beautiful. This looks like a hotel in Vegas or NYC, just our style. The location is great too...right the falls. They also have this really neat pool that has a waterfall in it. Great place for kids too!!

Comment: Had a business trip in early April, and the company put me up at the Embassy Suites. I really enjoyed it. The business center in the lobby made doing my work much easier, and so did the set up in the room. It is convenient when a hotel has a restaurant too, and this one has 2 great ones. TGI Fridays and The Keg, you cannot go wrong. Also, the complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious and quick! Great location too. For my "off" time I walked right down to the falls. Nice!

Comment: A group of us checked into the Embassy in late March, and we had a ball. We were a large group, and the front desk put all of our rooms right together. Other hotels said they couldn't do that, but the Embassy did. They were great to us! The suites are gorgeous. All the furniture looks brand new. The beds were heavenly. I got the greatest nights sleep there! We all had views of Niagara Falls from our room, and it was just beautiful. We could see everything! The complimentary breakfast buffet was excellent. We were seated quickly, and all the food was hot and great. We also loved dining at The Keg. That's their restaurant on the 9th floor. That too has a great view. The location was the best out of any hotel in the area. 2 thumbs up for the hotel and their staff. They made our trip that much more enjoyable.

Comment: We brought the kids for a weekend stay in April. They are little-4 and 6. We all had a blast. We stayed there mainly for location and the amenities. They had a waterfall pool that we knew the kids would love. The staff helped us plan tours and told us what to see and do. They were quite helpful. There are a lot of activities for people of all ages. The hotel is beautiful. It was very clean. We were impressed with that. The room was quite large, and had a great view of the falls. At night we could see the fireworks from our room. That was really neat. The restaurant in the hotel is delicious, and had very reasonable prices. We really loved this place.

Comment: We checked out several hotels before we chose the Embassy Suites. It is the nicest and most reasonably priced hotel in the area. It is the closest to the falls, and has the BEST view out of any of the hotels. Trust me. We had a view from our room, and they also have a view from their restaurant, The Keg. (That's a great restaurant too). We thought the staff was great. A bunch of friendly people who were eager to help us have a good time. The housekeeping staff should win an award for the job they do. The rooms were literally sparkling clean. The hotel has every amenity you could possible want. Everyone will love this hotel.

Comment: We had a family vacation in May, and we traveleled to Niagara Falls, Ontario. We chose the Embassy Suites partly because we read such great things about it, and also because the price was great. It is the perfect hotel. The lobby is gorgeous. The furniture was like brand new, and everything was so clean. The front desk staff were friendly people who did their jobs well. Our room was very nice. It was a fallsview suite, and the view was fantastic. Nothing like we had ever seen before. The rate includes a hot breakfast buffet with great selections. The location is perfect-right near the falls. We didn't have a single complaint.
